Ara 290 is slightly basic so it’s best to use either PBS or even better ACETIC ACID which many labs that carry Ara 290 also carry Acetic Acid. Acetic Acid is ph 8.0 so the two combined is about 7.4 neutral ph.

Adding .5ml of BAC water along with the PBS keeps the bottle sterile for 10 days. Only using PBS the vial is only sterile for 24 hours

So far only way I got it to not gel was 1.5ml pbs and .5 sterile water.

Sitting it alone and not swirling also works perfectly fine. I always sit it and then add 1ml bac after the PBS. Never gels and is always clear
