Luke admits that there are “many accounts” of Jesus and he is going to present the “right” one. This shows that even then different stories were being circulated. Unfortunately, these others are no longer extant, so we have no idea what they said.

Hi Ben, I note that you state most, if not all, major biblical figures are not historical figures and almost certainly didn’t exist. As a student of history with an interest in biblical and Abrahamic historicity I agree, so do you also extend that to Muhammed as the Quran itself? Which by default you must either doubt his existence (Islamic claims do not add up) or based on the above confirm he was a charlatan as the Quran, which we are told was handed directly to him by the same Angel Gabriel who appeared to Mary mother of Jesus and who gave special reverence to both within the Quran. Someone(s) must be lying here too, right?

The idea that he was talking about his resurrection is silly at best, coping at worst. He stated that he would come in the clouds with his angels and "pay" everyone according to their deeds. He didn't do ANY of that when he allegedly resurrected.

The overwhelming view of scholars is that contradictions are normal and are to be expected, considering the fact that the four cannonical gospels were written by different people, at different times using different sources. Idk why anyone would expect them to be the same
