I'm also a waitress and in the rest of the world, everything you described as "good service experience", is the most basic thing you have to do (as a waitress). it's not an extra that should depend on the tip, 'cause if you can't even get me a new fork and just tell me to go get it myself, then what's the point in you being there?

I’m a waitress in the uk, half the time I’m not tipped and I’m incredibly grateful for the 10-15% max that it is, I’m never tipped for drinks. I still do my job bc that’s what I’m payed to do
