I used to sleep between my grandparents when I would sleep over at their house. I felt so safe and comforted. I would wake up and my grandma would be making bacon and eggs and toast. I could smell the coffee brewing. Then had to go home to my screaming and fighting parents. At least I got some peace on the weekends.

Our six year old son runs into our room and climbs right into the middle of the bed just before dawn every morning. He has his own pillow and blanket so he can snuggle right in and carry on sleeping, and then sometimes I wake up to him giving me a kiss on the cheek. Those days are Literal heaven.
