@thesameerproject: They spent their lives serving others. Now they stand in the same bread lines as the people they once treated. Dr. Abd Mustafa was a physician who owned a pharmacy before the genocide. When Al Shifa Hospital and Gaza's healthcare system were devastated, he lost not only his workplace, but his livelihood, his stability, and the life he had spent years building. Today, he lives in a tent on the Gaza seashore in Al-Emadi and Manshiyya Camp. Yet even after losing everything, he continues to care for those around him however he can, offering what knowledge and compassion remain when medicine and resources are scarce. He is still serving his community while needing support himself. The Sameer Project recently distributed bread to families in his camp. Each bundle costs less than $2, but for families who have lost everything, it means another day without hunger. A doctor who dedicated his life to saving others should never have to worry about his next loaf of bread. Yet this is the reality for countless professionals, teachers, parents, and workers across Gaza. They have been stripped of their past, their present, and their future - but not their humanity.
