@theepbenbalakris7: Some musical decisions are never explained. They simply exist, quietly inviting discussion among cinema lovers years later. One such fascinating detail comes from Shankar's Boys (2003). The youthful soundtrack composed by A.R. Rahman remains one of the defining albums of the era, and among its standout tracks is the energetic "Boom Boom." What makes the song particularly interesting is not its composition, but its playback singers. In the Tamil version, the song is sung by Adnan Sami and Sadhana Sargam. In the Telugu dubbed version, however, Udit Narayan replaces Adnan Sami, while Sadhana Sargam continues as the female voice. There has never been a widely documented explanation from A.R. Rahman or the makers about this choice. It remains one of those small creative decisions that fans continue to notice even today. Both Adnan Sami and Udit Narayan were among the most loved playback singers of the early 2000s, yet they brought very different vocal personalities.

Ash Deen :
in big budget films different singers are tried. Finally Director and/or producer picks the singer based on their instinct. Money buys singers

normally the song will be listened by director. But Shankar is very particular till the voices too he will ask to change till he is satisfied.
