I've been wanting to open my own bookshop/coffeeshop for a while now. and now my husband is holding my idea hostage by adding his version to it and changing the name I already had in mind. he wants a 2-in-1 kinda deal with books/coffee + gaming rigs or whatever installation you need. I'm mad and I can't say anything because otherwise I'm selfish for not wanting something for both of us.

This happened to me recently creatively. I put in a request to view a gallery space for rent and FOR SOME REASON I put the purpose of this rental in the form like a naive _diot and the gallery ignored my form and then immediately proceeded with my idea. I’ve had to watch him get press and launch the program and get community support, and in interviews he almost word for word repeats what I had put on the form. This gallery space had been there FOR YEARS, unused, and I think that’s what hurts the most. I wouldn’t be as angry if he had come up with it on his own years ago because the community needed this forever ago. I cannot get over it. I wake up feeling so upset, and I’m sure my husband is so done with hearing about this haha.
