People who see someone who got popular of their own merit, creativity, and hard work tend to get jealous and create these issues out of spite because they could never dream of achieving half of what you have. Especially when you've worked with many other good people who have worked their butts off to get where they have too. Those "friends" likely stopped being your friend because number of followers or number of interactions led them to choose alienating you over being a true friend. If no one is there defending you, you'll find the people who will eventually but sadly not likely at those furry conventions. I'm so sorry that happened to you, you didn't deserve that and I hope if they see how this makes you feel then maybe they might make better choices. Hopefully it gets better soon.

That sucks honestly. You were very unfortunate with those experiences. In my case there was a guy that wanted to eat lunch with me but I said I had different plans and he just felt offended xD like... people is just people at the end of the day. I learned to not give a damn about negative stuff that I can not control or take care of (mostly). Kinda just focus on what makes me smile and simply try to ignore and get out of my brain what makes me unpleasant when I havent done anything wrong xP.

As someone who was chronically bullied for years growing up, this hits home hard. I have a mountain of things I wish I could say and none of it will fix the hurt. But you don’t want a fix, I imagine. You just want friends that some integrity and honesty. 🥺

That sounds terrible. For the record, ditch the “friends” that would rather you eat separately from them, they are not your friends. If you keep hanging around people like that, they will use you for clout chasing and nothing more. Sorry this happened to you, and hopefully you can make better friends that are there for you

Conventions when they become big have drama. 1st Your friend kinda sucks to make you eat alone without a heads up. 2nd The photographer said it was fine then acted two-faced. This is one reason I don't do conventions. Too crowded, too much drama, and the price is just getting out of control as well. I would rather have a simple gathering with fellow fur friends and make it a fun and memorable weekend. You deserve to have a good time.
