All through my life my dad bragged and bragged to family and friends about my college savings. He always pushed me get the best grades, to be top of my class, saying “all this will go to you getting into the best school.” And I was so excited to get into a good school. I got into the school of my dreams and that is when he told me he never had a college fund because he never expected me to become anything but a wife and mother after high-school. I never went to my dream college. And so I never got to pursue my dream field.

I know I’m not in the place to say this, certainly because I’m not God or anything to tell you the future, but just keep your head up and keep going! I have met so many people who had the same past as you, but they’re more successful than ever. If you can’t have the courage to believe in yourself, then just know that we believe in you. But for now, focus on yourself and feel what you need to feel. I know it’s hard to get back on track when things are so difficult. But we will continue to root for you whether it is through prayers or simple encouragements. You have time, you can go ahead, rest up, feel what you need to feel, spend time with your loved ones, and do the rest later. Do what is most important for now, and that is letting yourself heal first .💗

My mother told me she’d give me the childcare card which should of had 16 grand on it but only had 3 and she never gave it to me when I had to drop out of college she always said she could pay using it and did for one semester but she never would give it to me, so I just don’t talk to her anymore since if that’s how she wants to be

Same here bro I don’t have a degree yet since I can’t afford it and they got rid of grants in my country. Basically bursaries and working is the only way I can go back to school

Felt tbh. Until now I couldn't find any decent non bpo jobs here(I kept failing and I dont think I can handle such environments) its been 2 years and I've only been working as a freelance artist since I've graduated shs. Every penny I saved legit goes to my fam and i dont think ill ever be in college atm😞
