I honestly think what we are seeing on the streets may be connected to Farage’s new proposal on social housing. Telling people who have lived and worked in this country for many years that they could lose their homes simply because they are not British is deeply discriminatory. To me, this is exactly the kind of rhetoric that creates division, anger and tension in society. I don’t think what is happening now is completely unrelated.
