Russell Brookman Monmouth Paedophile Chef Offender A "mother-of-two young girls" was informed by Russell Brookman, a paedophile chef, that it was his dream to rape youngsters. According to prosecutor Abigail Jackson, Monmouth resident Russell Brookman, 46, believed he was chatting with a real woman online. However, Cardiff Crown Court was informed that an undercover police officer was exposing him. The defendant said that it was his fantasy to have sex with youngsters when the "mum" questioned him about why he was drawn to them. "I think it's because it's so wrong," Brookman continued. It was a fantasy that had "never been fulfilled," he added. "Ten is a very cute age," Brookman said to the "woman" after learning that one of her daughters was ten years old. He also sent the decoy pictures of child abuse. The defendant, who was formerly from Warwick Close in Chippenham, Wiltshire, acknowledged planning or assisting in the commission of a child sex offence. Additionally, Brookman entered a guilty plea to both category B and category C charges of disseminating indecent child photos. His crimes occurred between July 30, 2025, and September 23, 2025. Recorder Barry Clarke, the judge, informed the offender that only an immediate jail sentence was suitable due to the severity of his offence. After serving two years and eight months in prison, Brookman was informed that he would be released on a licence after serving around half of that time. He was placed under a seven-year sexual harm prevention order and will be required to register as a sexual offender for life. There is a £228 fee. Brookman was a cook at Cattivo Pizza in Cirencester and the owner of the Bar Nine in John Street, Stroud.
