I'm anxious because I hyperfocus on everything that will go wrong and then I watch myself freeze, unable to do anything about it 😂 But is the ability there? Will we ever know??💀

One thing I have not mastered is sleep hygiene. Only 2-3 blocks at a go, more naps, tried tactics but not working. Think if I woke up feeling energized then my day would be better, always wake up feeling half empty, half charged, etc.

Yes. For me the remedies have been the daily yoga practice I’ve had for 3 decades. But I actually do take a lot of pharmaceuticals as well. (Crohn’s and associated surgeries ). I am on metoprolol for blood pressure and it helps calm me in the morning alongside a 15 mg of busporine. Then at night I’m on remeron, another busporine, escaitalopram, and also use the kind patches menopause patch, dream patch and mood patch. And I’m finally back working calmly with the public. I can use yoga to remedy the body. Or else I’d be a literal mess. For me, it started at 34-37. I’m 51 now and so much more at home in my body again. Also on stelara for the Crohn and hs. Thank you for this thread

I said the same thing to my therapist about my anxiety covering for my adhd and she didn’t believe me. I said it was some way to cope for my adhd shortcomings. Can’t forget all the important things if you are anxious about them all the time and ocerthink them etc.

Genuinely considering coming off sertraline that fixed my anxiety so that I am less saddled by the symptoms of adhd - need the anxiety to focus me!

100% I believe my anxiety does help me focus more, reason being I have noticed, when I take my pregablin for pain, it also reduces my anxiety but then even with adhd meds don’t really have optimum effect on me. But when I am in pain and in anxiety and take my meds omg my productivity is 500x 😂🙏🏽🤷‍♂️

Does becoming a Mum have the same effect? My wheels 100% came off when I had my first baby, but everyone just told me I had 'baby brain' or PND

Geriatric Mum :
Diagnosed with ADHD and perimenopause. You are not crazy. You do not have early onset dementia. You are the best person you are trying to be right now. It is not a deficit. It is refocusing on how the heck you be the best person moving forward. 😞
