@lastnightbye: 2023 yılında Kolombiya Amazon Ormanları üzerinde uçan küçük bir uçak düştü. Kazada çocukların annesi, pilot ve bir yetişkin hayatını kaybetti. Uçakta bulunan 13, 9, 4 yaşındaki üç kardeş ile 11 aylık bebek ise enkazdan sağ kurtuldu. Dört kardeş, dünyanın en tehlikeli ormanlarından biri olan Amazon'da tam 40 gün boyunca kayıp kaldı. Açlık, yoğun yağmur, zehirli hayvanlar ve vahşi doğaya rağmen meyve toplayarak, yağmur suyunu kullanarak ve geçici barınaklar kurarak hayatta kalmayı başardılar. Arama ekipleri günlerce sadece ayak izleri, yenmiş meyveler ve küçük kamplar bulabildi. 40 günün sonunda askerler ve yerli arama ekipleri çocukları sağ olarak buldu. Büyük kardeşin doğada hayatta kalma bilgisi sayesinde diğer kardeşlerini koruduğu belirtildi. Bu olay, son yılların en dikkat çekici hayatta kalma hikâyelerinden biri olarak tarihe geçti.
