@khusbu.rai25: Quinn Lias Parker was born at Nottingham City Hospital on 14 July 2021. He had suffered severe oxygen deprivation before birth and died 36 hours later, on 16 July 2021, from multiple organ failure . The inquest found there was delayed recognition of placental abruption, inadequate repeated risk assessment, and the parents were not sufficiently involved in decision-making about delivery . #nhs #UKNews #MaternityCare #PatientSafety #InformedConsent
Ladies fight fight fight!!!!!! You have to fight for what you need and want. I was up against a doctor a few weeks ago 36 weeks pregnant demanding a c section because I had priva, reduced movements and lots of liquid around baby: he was banging his pen and using a loud tone with me: he was focused on diabetes and I said I am not! Give me a c section and get him out. Anyway, it was reported to a senior and I went at 37 weeks, I was heard and seen. Please don’t put your trust in anyone but yourself and your own gut xx

😳 that's crazy, we admit anyone who presents to labour ward triage for 24hr observation if they present with a bleed in pregnancy.

It’s never common to bleed in late pregnancy it’s often a sign of placenta issues … I’m not a midwife but as a retired nurse first thing I’d of checked is your placenta

I had an abruption due to severe pre eclampsia that developed into hellp syndrome. My son died and I very nearly did too. They delayed his delivery by 3 hours. He had a heartbeat when we went into theatre. 10 years have passed but I will never trust a doctor again.
