This is just an observation. People’s reactions are created by years of conditioning, experience and repeated behaviour. When someone is angry and reacts immediately, they are more likely to make the situation worse. Giving yourself time before responding usually allows you to think more clearly and react more reasonably. What I’ve noticed is that the amount of time needed for reflection differs from person to person. People also differ in their ability to regulate emotions. Some are naturally more reflective, while others are quicker to react. We need to teach the next generation how to think, not what to think.
