@alex.glandorf: cheapest way to get from Bangkok to Pattaya! 🚌🇹🇭 Save this for your next trip and skip the expensive taxis. #bangkok #pattaya #thailandtravel #thailandtips #budgettravel
Cheapest way is actually the official bus at Suvarnabhumi Airport (Bangkok) downstairs. It’s 139baht in person.Cheaper than Ekamai bus terminal at 148baht. Reserve both buses @ pattayabus.com for 25baht fee.

Wrong. Big bus is better. It’s express. The vans take a milk run down the side roads and stops 4-8 Times to drop off or pick up stray passengers and packages. Much poorer safety record than big buses which can be caught at Elammai as well

"skip the expensive taxi"
100b bolt to bus station...stand in line wait.. 150b ticket to pattaya... stand in line wait...100b bolt to hotel room... total cost 350b and 5 hours vs. a 1200b taxi and 90mins.

i love when people make themself look like clowns. You took the minibus and that is not the cheapest way to go to Pattaya but the most expensive you could have taken at that station. You saw the first bus to the right that said Bangkok-Pattaya? That was the second cheapest way and in the same spot, you could take a bus without air condition and be even cheaper ( and longer). Next, the minibus throw you out in Sukumwit road so you still need to find and take a taxi to get to your hotel anyway in Pattaya. what probably will make this trip the most expensiclve of the 3 options there. If you would have taken the bus, you would have found yourself not far from the Dolphin roundabout, you would have "sonteo" at the bus station waiting for you making it the cheapest way.

I wouldn’t recommend taking that van next time. What should be a 1.5 to 2-hour trip often turns into 3 to 3.5 hours because they take a different route and stop at other stations to pick up more passengers. I suggest taking the blue bus instead, it's at the first booth on your right.

Taxi is only 1,400 bhat. About 1.5 hours later, 70 miles on the motorway, you’re in Pattaya, right o/s your hotel.
