Speaking as an INTJ 5w6, this video hits the nail on the head. It’s not that I hate love; it’s more accurate to say I fear it. What exactly am I afraid of? I fear the consequences of falling in love. Even though it brings many beautiful things, I’m terrified of losing control over myself. I fear not being able to fully protect the one I love, or that they might suffer because of me. As you all know, INTJs can be a bit difficult to deal with. You might guess what’s going on in their heads, but you’ll never truly know the whole story. INTJs can take responsibility for every single action they take. However, love is just too massive of a force for them to control. That’s why I keep everyone at a distance to prevent myself from falling in love. Keeping things systematic and staying in my own space brings me peace of mind. I will never blend in just to fit with everyone, nor will I ever stay in a relationship that has no clear definition. That’s why I’m always running away from this thing called love. btw, I never met any other INTJs, and it all just about me.

This is such a dumb stereotype. When I fall in love I typically fall in love very hard and will prioritize connections to people which mean a lot to me. However I understand wanting to push romantic feelings down; that's sort of how I am now after going through a really rough heartbreak.

We can push and suppress our feelings as much as we want, but if we do they’ll become visible and control us, or we can process them and understand them so that we can learn to control them. Eventually even if we prioritize logic we can’t ignore feelings completely as they’re a part of who we are- INTJ
