@lotusganesha: This morning, I looked out the window and caught a raccoon hanging from our bird feeder. At first, I laughed because she was putting on quite the balancing act trying to steal the bird seed. Then I looked down… She wasn’t alone. Her babies were waiting underneath, and suddenly it wasn’t just a raccoon raiding a feeder—it was a mom trying to feed her family. My wife, on the other hand, wasn’t nearly as sentimental. 😅 We have chickens, and she’s always worried raccoons will eventually come after them. She grabbed the biggest branch she could find and scared the whole family off before they got too comfortable around the coop. It’s a good reminder that nature isn’t always simple. One moment you feel compassion watching a mother provide for her babies, and the next you’re protecting your own animals. Both things can be true. Either way, it made for a pretty unforgettable start to the morning. 🦝❤️
