I do not agree Exorcist 2 is the worst film ever, it is shit. but I agree that the worst film ever cannot be a low budget affair. it can only be films with a proper budget and knowledge behind it.

Tropic thunder is the worst film I’ve ever seen , only film I can remember that was so bad I turned it off half way through , I then ended up going back to finish it a week later

I've heard Kermode say a lot of his views on films is based on expectations. Which is why The Angry Birds Movie is one of my favourite films and I DESPISE La La Land.

oh my god he's not wrong, Exorcist 2 the heretic is terrible, I saw the movie when I was 13 years old in the 80s sometime, I obviously already saw the original Exorcist, so you can imagine my disappointment when I saw exorcist 2😏 and it wasn't because I was comparing exorcist 2 with the original, at the end of the day exorcist 2 is just bad even if you compare the movie with watching the shopping channel😂😂 the shopping channels actually more interesting

I remember as a teenager hiring out Exorcist II quite a few times, not because it was a good film, but because it had stills from the first film, which at the time was banned on VHS, and I felt it was as close as I was going to get to seeing this infamous film. That was the only reason why I rented the film out. Then I got hold of a pirate copy of The Exorcist, & I never bothered with the second film ever again.
