@from_the_garden: Salsa Dona From the Garden 🌶️ . This is our go to sauce when we have an abundance of Jalapenos and or Serrano's! . 1 pound fresh jalapeños, stems removed (unless your blender can obliterate them and you're ok with the flavor!) 8-12 cloves garlic 1/4 cup avocado oil (or any mild-flavored oil) 2-4 tablespoons fresh lime juice (optional) 1 1/2 teaspoons fine sea salt 1/2 bundle cilantro with stems (if chopped, about 1/2 cup) Water to thin for taste and desired consistency . Roast peppers with a pinch of salt and drizzle of oil at 400°F until skins lightly blister and puree them with the raw garlic cloves, lime juice & drizzled oil to emulsify the mixture. Then start to taste for flavor adjustment. At this stage you can add cilantro, more garlic, more salt etc. Remember that a bit of water can cut through the fatty flavor of the oil and can help bring out other notes while supporting a smooth consistency. . Can't handle spice? Consider trying some nadapenos and a sub of a green bell pepper mixed in or remove seeds, inner ribbing and stems from peppers for preservation of flavor with a little less spice! . #salsarecipe #fromthegarden #jalapenos #texasgardening
