As first gen I am EXHAUSTED from having to be the adult and translate and do all the things. But I just take a deep breath and still do it because I know I would want someone to do that for my parents.

genuine question, why couldnt they just use google translate to communicate with the customer(? patient...?) i work retail/food and i use it all the time to make sure im getting my point across

I am an interpreter. Pharmacies call us all the time. She probably didn't want to bother.

Not a pharmacist but as a retail store manager I always did my best, whether it was through a translation app or hand signals or anything I could do. If another customer could translate I was always super grateful to them. It may take longer but it was always worth it! Treat everyone with respect.

A lot of pharmacies do have access to a translator - at least when I was with Walgreens, we had a translation line to call if we needed to.

at my job there are a lot of people who speak spanish, I speak 0 spanish. i go to the google translate or other apps that they usually have on their phones to help them. mind you, I am not in customer service or even in management. just a regular worker.
