for me also the split of the continents doesn't make sense either. even as a child I asked myself, how can it be that if the continents were all together and earth was in an orbit, and balanced, (Like a car's wheel that is balanced when mounted properly) , how can it be that huge continents would move around without affecting the orbit. it would create a huge wobble and literally alter drastically the orbit. it is why the theory of expanding heart makes a lot of sense , which is gradual and balanced. yet nobody think about it and stick to the shifting of continents. also the swamp ape theory. which is totally logical

no they didn't understand but they left some good clues. Snakes were our apex predator so the snake was an irritation that propelled our evolution. seeing their own nakedness because we evolved reflective consciousness. The snake punishment was to crawl of it's stomach. well that's what snakes do already. so if it had legs it would have been a lizard. again evolution.
