she doesn't understand the question money depletion can apply on imported goods and services but not those produced locally example it's salty, how is it that it has almost maintained the price.

They claim to have introduced free education (which was always there, anyway) so let go and study the concept of wage-push inflation. Maybe she can add value to this discussion.

It’s me I guess. :
Inflation doesn’t mean reduced price, inflation is still the constant increase in the general price level of goods and services in a country, so what is basically happening is prices are still increasing but just at a reduced rate, in as much as these people are bragging about reducing inflation, prices are still and will keep on increasing thank you.

What she's saying is incorrect. Simply increasing salaries without corresponding growth in productivity or the economy can reduce the purchasing power of the kwacha rather than improve living standards.
For example, imagine bread costing K100 simply because everyone's salary was increased by K700. People may earn more nominally, but if prices rise at the same pace, they are no better off.
A decline in inflation should eventually be reflected in lower price pressures or slower increases in the cost of goods and services that people experience daily. Otherwise, the benefits are not being felt by ordinary citizens.
A US$100 bill is still worth US$100 whether you're in the United States, Europe, Asia, or elsewhere. The value of a currency should be measured by its purchasing power, not just by the number printed on a payslip.
