Neurodivergence- it always goes back to that. This is our posture. There’s a physio on here although I can’t remember her name who posts helpful content about this.

Okay I have this, I also have hypermobility and my lower back hurts like heck because of my anterior pelvic tilt!

the thing that causes my pelvic tilt is actually my hypermobile knees. im standing with my knees locked which throws my whole balance/centre of gravity off and my pelvis is compensating!

I think lots of us do weird things unintentionally that we need to train our bodies out of. I don’t think it’s always a matter of strength it’s habit and muscle memory

When I first got diagnosed with AuDHD I researched into theories around it being a connective tissue disorder, and AuDHD being a symptom of that, as well as anxiety & depression due to less or incorrect nuro-activity, weaker muscles due to hyper mobility and lower stamina in general. It’s quite interesting once you find the links but I couldn’t possibly talk about it confidently as it was a brief read up. Worth looking into!

I reckon you with Pilates you have to do stretches. Your shoulder fascia must be shortened due to posture. So try to include fascia stretches.

Ehlers Dahnlos was the missing piece for me, I’m a coach and like you have years of training (10+) behind me. My muscles are strong and in many areas visible but the connective tissue disorder impacts tendons and ligaments making the body overall less stable, overly tight in areas due to compensate

Are you hypermobile? Im strong af but I’m hypermobile and so my pelvis is still tilted like that. Some people do have more of a tilt than others. But mine gives me paiiiin. You’ve recently had an ASD diagnosis and hEDS and Autism/Audhd are co-morbid so it could be worth looking into.

In exactly the same boat - strong muscles when engaged but weak af core/glutes/back/shoulders and hip flexors in normal life 😞 also hypermobile 😃👍🏻

I think it's mostly because your core (abs, hip flexor, iliac etc.) are weak oe stiff

Pelvic tilt is really a lifestyle thing (I’ve been told) you have to be on your feet more than you sit and really most of us don’t. The jaw thing is just how you’re built, you can’t undo it so just embrace it!

I have exactly the same issue rounded shoulders, pelvic tilt I have been to a chiropractor who said I needed to use lat pulldown, seated rows.. I’ve been doing them for years made no difference she gave me two stretches and that’s it so I’m going to follow along with your routine in hopes this helps 🤞

it’s very common in women and to be honest the biggest thing that’s helped me is just being conscious of it in daily life when standing and walking and tucking it back in. it’s likely just deep core and habitual patterns. your fascia might be tight too pulling you into a tilt, this can happen with strong glute people with tightness in the lower back??? but try look at your body as a whole system, think of your body as a Spider-Man suit and if one area is tight e.g shoulder it could pull something super far away like the foot. I would try look at your posture for your feet, then knees, hips, shoulders, neck, jaw and see intuitively where the Spider-Man suit is tight and what part of your body it could be pulling. doesn’t seem to be a strength issue but more a fascia and or habitual problem xx
