You don’t actually need to cut it first. Just dump in the egg, swirl, and then top it with a tortilla and smash a bit to ensure it sticks. Then flip and add cheese and fold.

I basically make French toast the same way break up the bread put it in a large skillet pour eggs and cream, cinnamon, and nutmeg, and you got French toast
