I quit drinking over a year ago I never was the not the "typical" alcoholic. But if I was with friends or family at social gatherings I would drink to numb & drown the pain of being with people because of some of the conversations that my family would bring up with me that would trigger some past trauma or they say really hurtful things that was hurtful to me. Then turn to THC & then I quit that too. I honestly feel great after quitting alcohol & THC, I feel more mentally clear.

I’ll be 5 years sober in September because of you. That hardest thing for me that no one told me about was relearning how to deal with every single emotion again. I never realized how I justified alcohol with every emotion, good or bad.
