im fairly certain that in dnd lore, kenku are portrayed like that because they betrayed their creator by being greedy, which resulted in them being cursed. the closest thing there is to a non-cursed kenku is an aarakocra, another humanoid bird, except they can do things like talk normally and fly, which probably makes them the better choice if you want a bit more of an accurate bird play style

ohh I'm new to dnd and I didn't even know kenku were made so dirty. I wanted to play as one in the future. Innkeeper kenku is one of the NPC's and whole campaign love him. It would be so cool if they fix it in the future
