Bruce Lamb survived the shooting after his mother, Dianne Lamb, a 911 dispatcher for Charleston County EMS, personally answered his emergency call. She rapidly dispatched an ambulance while maintaining composure and staying on the line with him.Following the traumatic event and successful medical treatment, Bruce made a full recovery. Years later, he shifted into local volunteering, dedicating his time to emergency services himself, such as serving with the Blounts Creek Volunteer Fire Department.

I know 911 dispatchers are trained for emergency situations, but your own son. Mom stayed patient and did incredible. I don’t think I could have been that calm if it was my own child.
