This means rather then just sealing the asphalt it actually rehydrates it retoreing the evaporated oils that have been lost over time which in turn restores it’s elasticity that allows asphalt to expand and contract with the elements unlike your traditional seal coat which is water based which allows little room for expansion and contraction and also dries out your asphalt. The oil based product actually soaks into the asphalt about a half an inch which is why it chemically cannot crack, chip, peel or flake unlike seal coat.
