For me it’s much easier to use loanwords than Anglo-Saxon ones because my first language is Portuguese. But people always act like I’m being pedantic 😭

Love this breakdown, but my target audience is often English Language Learners (mostly Spanish speakers), so I actively choose the Latin based words. Example: “complete the form” instead of “fill it in”
