One thing I get from Belmont’s portrayal of Garrett here is the awkwardness/shyness of talking to Hannah’s mom cause it’s been a while since Garrett has felt the care of a mom… Garrett didn’t know how to act in this scene… the warmth pf a caring mom telling story of how proud a father is of him… those are things he has not experienced in a while and will never experience and he’s overwhelmed (i think) a bit
