If the earth was moving then how come when you see big puffy clouds sometimes these clouds are barely moving so if the earth was moving wouldn't these clouds always be moving?

what i dont get is... who the hell worked out that we are moving that fast through space? like how are they tracking that speed and how do they know distant stars and galaxies arent moving away from us? I dont get how they calculated it so struggle to believe 🤷🏻♂️😂
