This is a unpopular theory but I genuinely believe the tsarista isnt just based off russian empire/ussr alone to me shes more like olga of kiev so kievan rus and I know kievan rus means a lot to you guys so just bear with me for a sec both tsarista and olga are seeking revenge for someone and are willing to do anything, are powerful respected figures and have a softer side for their people and families even the group vesna is working for is based off on a real group of close warriors/advisors of the queen in kievan rus

I get what you mean but it’s still a game and we got told from the very very beginning even before the war itself even started (yes Russification and stuff was around before I know) that it would be mainly Russian solely by the tsaritsa name. But even if I like seeing references and stuff I am dissapointed myself that it’s mostly Russia and not some other countries as well, but I don’t think it’s enough to call it „triggering“ per se since it’s still just a game and maybe future characters will have what you want!

I'm so horribly sorry that this is happening to you. I hope that you'll manage to fully recover from it. What's currently happening in your country is horrible and disgusting. Also, I agree that Snezhnaya should've included more slavic cultures. Other slavic cultures often tend to get outshined by Russian, so a bigger company that claimed to be inspired by all of them should've done better, but it's not like I was expecting much from Hoyoverse, anyway (since they're bad at representing most cultures). Don't listen to people telling you that you're overreacting because it's easy for them to say when it's not their country that is being attacked. I may not support everything Ukraine does (like how some people from there still romanticize Stepan Bandera who did horrible things to Poland), but no one deserves to be facing war and have their culture be wiped away. I hope that you're in a safe place now where you're getting lots of comfort and support that you need. Sending love from Poland. ♥️

I just hope that the characters, which will appear way later in newer areas etc like how it's usually done, will actually have more broad slavic inspiration, rather than just a name or a theme and that it'll not be tied much with whatever rssian aesthetic they had in mind. Since most characters announced so far appear to function in the same area aka the palace or whatever they've got there, military too, same with npcs over there, most of them appear to have this high status if you know what I mean. Alyosha, it seems, is literally the only one among the cast that does not live in that area ( well Noy too, but that guy is 100% just gonna be some sort of a long life species, be it a fae or a dragon ) as far as I'm aware, he comes from "outside" and legit just lives by survival in cold, I just wish we get more characters like him later who at least represent certain minorities, instead of the so called aristocrats or military figures, like hell even Odette is a member of the fatui😭 I just hope they'll be a little more creative later as we unlock other areas. Like, even the damn dishes in game seem more diverse, but I bet borsch being there is just gonna start another discourse sadly with that side...😞
