I am good friends with the owner’s granddaughter. She has/had many properties within Vinton and Jackson counties. She was a well known realtor for years. Her family definitely wasn’t aware of the situation

Her trust actually owned a lot of properties in the area, so there's actually a good chance she didn't live in it. The lady was a teacher, then later became a real estate broker. She might have owned many homes.

If she was in a nursing home/assisted living facility & your spouse has passed, in my state that’s an asset that you have to sell after you run out of money to pay the establishment.

I was wondering what will happen to the house and were the siders paying rent? And if so where did it go after she passed what about property tax after she passed does it automatically come out of her trust I have so many questions

I live in Ohio, and in my city you do not need to prove owning the home or renting the home to put a water bill in your name. Just have to provide an ID and account info.

I’m a Property Manager in Nevada and by California and Nevada tenants can have utilities placed into their name with or without a lease, the home has usually been a rental forever. We also, are permitted to perform a property inspection with 24-hour notice. So if this house was in a Trust AND had a family managing the property or if there was a PM Firm. They would definitely need to be reached out too

My son when renting didn't show any rental proof to get utilities in his name in his Ohio home. He just paid to get first time establishment of utilities service.

Here in Indiana, you don’t have to have proof of residency to town utilities on. Maybe it’s similar in Ohio or their town?

My experience has been that they will accept mail (such as a bill) to prove residency, such as a credit card. I live in Maine and every state is different though.
