I think the main issue Rachel is a lack of awareness and understanding. My ex has seen a therapist for years but I honestly don’t think she has ever heard of attachment theory. I’ve done therapy for over 15 years weekly because of military experiences, and not once did I learn about attachment theory or attachment wounds and how to heal them and what to do. This is a real problem. The therapy that people get rarely heals their trauma. So much healing is done within a relationship if there is a shared knowledge and understanding and intention

Can you speak on what’s trauma dumping vs what’s just being upfront and honest with someone so they can decide if they want to continue to see you? I’m lot sure of I’m discussing too much upfront or just being honest as in previous experiences I’m told I don’t show intention enough in dating someone.
