Did you know that USA portion sizes are actually a contributing factor in low server wages and consequently to tipping culture. USA food waste costs the industry $160 billion per year with around 20% per person per meal being wasted. This cost is borne by the business but the net profit is the same in the USA as Europe at about 10%. So the owners are making the same margin and the money for a better server wage is going in the bin. Then the customer feels compelled to tip their servers.

I will die on this hill, cheddar is the best cheese on the planet. People who make lists of the the best cheese and put Mozzarella or Parmesan at the top don't actually like cheese. Cheddar is proper cheese and can't be beaten.
