I am one of the neighbors. We cannot even see the house due to the wood line. There is also a small creek in between us. Even in the winter months when the foliage is dead, the porch, door, and driveway are on the other side out of our view. It's hard to get to know a neighbor that you never see. We knew the old lady lived there, but shes in the only one I have ever seen. I walked our dog to the end of the road regularly and I never seen or heard anything that indicated having children there. There aren't many kids on this side of town and we would have absolutely introduced ourselves if we saw kids. We have a small child that would have loved to of invited them over to play or for a cookout. I grew up in Hamden and playing with the neighborhood kids are some of my most fond memories.

Paternal grandparents, not maternal. It’s vitally important to get those facts right in cases like this, as Elizabeth herself appears to be a victim.

Landlords should be somewhat responsible for doing yearly inspections on their rental properties! Or something to prevent this from happening all the time!!

The maths ain’t mathing, so they’ve been there 4 years… but the oldest was 18years old so at some point the elder children must have been outside. Following this story but it’s so confusing.

ICT needs to be federally recognized and it MUST have different standards set for the system. the goal should NEVER be reunification in ICT cases. ICT victims deserve to be recognized and helped appropriately. it is not "bizarre", this happens daily in america. i grew up similar to this, my best friend grew up similar to this. this happens everywhere. it's a systemic issue
