One of the relief Vets that I work with refuses to let technicians help with aggressive animals. It almost comes across as an insult because sir I’m literally being paid to make sure you’re alive and keep doing your job and save these dogs and cats

Since working at VEG which is open concept, the clients are realizing how much more the VAs and LVTs do than the doctors do (physically). And clients are so grateful for the hard and compassionate work they do. When we get reviews, clients remember their names more than mine. I always include the VA and LVT at the end of the discharges as well who were involved in the case.

Not your intention, of course, but disappointed by the comments saying techs should protect doctors at all costs/our hands are less important. They're not, and we shouldn't be expected to take bites because we're "less valuable" ☹️(Again, I know this is not what you meant in your video! I love your videos.)

I sooooo appreciate the techs at my clinic having a spicy German shepherd. They go above and beyond listening to me explain how to best keep him under threshold and find creative ways to get things done while accommodating his quirks. I try and do a couple nice things a year for them.. catered lunch during vet tech appreciation week.. sometimes I bring donuts if we have an early am appointment..
