@___celena: Have you ever been? What was your experience like? Let’s talk about the psych ward! #schizophreniaawareness #schizophrenic #MentalHealth #psychosis #SelfCare
I’m forever thankful my therapist told me NOT to go to a hospital when I was severely depressed. I know it would’ve traumatized me more. Thanks for sharing ❤️

I struggled with it during active addiction and psych ward is just an upgraded jail.

As someone who has worked in a psych ward. I made it a point to treat anyone and everyone like I would treat my people. Most of the time it was not a choice to be there so why make it worse 🥺

yup! I had a nurse who found stuff I had been writing down to get it out of my head. She never asked me about it, she kept it to herself till my exit meeting! Bad choice on her part, she was reprimanded for what she did. The Dr looked her in the eyes and told her WE WANT HER DOING THIS! She tried making them keep me longer, it back fired! I was sent home. I spent another few months to get mentally stable. Psychosis was no joke!

The hospital staff are the worst! I refrain from going anymore because additional trauma is created. Sending you love❤️🥰

See, there’s been a couple times I’ve wanted to go get help at a clinic but me being autistic, not sleeping in my bed with all my things around and my cats… it’ll probs make me worse. They should have an option for in home appointments and help

luckily enough I've avoided the experience as a patient, but I had my 1st clinical as a psych nursing student this spring. I was appalled! not by the patients but by the cleanliness of the facility and the behaviors of some of the doctors & nurses. I'm debating going into the field now. I won't unless I have a plan to help induce some improvement.
