lol just put yourself in others shoes. You’d do the same. You’d do everything in your power to make sure your family is provided for and is SAFE. It’s easy to speak from an outside perspective when you’ve never been in that struggle like that.

Why are you letting people shoot up your house. If you can’t afford food and medicine why are you breeding. Thier mistakes shouldn’t be this countries burdens.

My mom falls into right leaning ideals a lot, but simple clear explanations often change her mind. I asked her once, if she lived where we were starving and it was extremely dangerous, what would she do to keep my sister and I safe

not denying that people have their reasons to do what they need to survive. the country also has incentive to uphold their border laws regardless of individuals' strife and personal problems.

my mom and step mom came here on green cards and then became citizens over time. my mom didn't become a citizen until 10 years later when i was 13. but she was legal to be here the whole time.

The “10 years” argument is a different discussion than whether or not it’s legal.

I totally get his point and the system is flawed. It needs to be revamp to better process people thru. But you can’t fix a leaking sink without shutting the water off.
