the letting kids order thing actually aint that bad.. they js want to speak for themselves, but it also helps with allt of what yall have the 'fear of ordering' bs as an adult.. so i dont even mind it.

Once when my brother was 8 my mom let him go in to buy his own ice cream cone. He got 8 scoops of ice cream. My mom was so pissed 😭

Letting kids order is to teach them independence and it’s easier to do when it’s for something they are genuinely excited about, I know this now as a mum. As a waitress before kids, I also did not think it was cute.

Once years ago when I worked at starbucks a kid handed me a drawing he did of me (stick figure w/hair) and I took it and thanked him. I then walked to the back and threw it away. They came back the next day and the little boy asked if I hung it up and I was like no? The mom then got really mad at me I didnt hang it up like a prize on the advertisement bulletin board🥲
