Yeah I’m 20 and I was raised listening to 80s rock another day in paradise is one of my moms favorites, so yeah this post is absolutely spot on we did get a lot of our behavior (and amazing music taste) from our Gen X parents.

Paradise on hulu has one of the best covers of this. I’m not a fan of covers but the one they use in S1 is REALLY good. Exactly as you said, really goes hard on the irony. I enjoy a lot of 70s-80s. My favorite song of all time is American Pie by Don McLean. Which is ironic considering I was born Feb 3, the day the music died

02’ kid here and I was RAISED on 70s and 80s music. One of my favorites is Love for Sale which I view as a commentary on consumerism. Another one I really like is For What it’s Worth “stop! Hey! What’s that sound? Everybody look what’s going down.”

well into my 20s now. and navigating my own (and my family’s; genetics baby) mental health. i’ve grown so grateful of my parents and family. being able to communicate in healthy manner now and we all want and care for the same things. my parents did their best with what they had and knew at the time. and despite our hardships im a strong confident lovely beautiful person as the people that raised me are too !!! being able to relate and see them as adults i realize how similar we are.
