Hey Alice! Love these thoughts, thank you for sharing. I re-found this video looking up The Wurl after a hiking trip in Utah this weekend. But (of course), I’m already looking forward to the next adventure, and I really want to pass through my birth place (Great Falls, MT) and explore Glacier. Do you have any recs for an experienced hiker looking for challenging and off the beaten path hikes out there? Appreciate any pointers you may have 🫶

unrelated video idea- how do you navigate doing outdoorsy things with and without your husband? if he's available, is it a given that he'll come with or do you enjoy doing solo activities regardless? i struggle sometimes with feeling bad about wanting to do things without my boyfriend, i just like the solitude and quietness and not being beholden to another person's whims or ideas about what to do. please disregard if this isn't interesting to you!

scrambling feels like this slim area where climbers and hikers intersect, and I think climbers just need to get descriptions from other climbers, specifically of a similar grade, to get a good idea of difficulty. climbing just prepared you for such technical terrain that your "scramble" becomes a hikers rock climb

That’s so true I would’ve bailed on so many things if I wasn’t 20 miles from a road LOL I can’t imagine how tough that makes it to know you’re minutes from a bed and a burger if you want to be 😭

Wow thanks for sharing your experience!! This past year for me has been a lot of what are my goals and what do I actually want to do vs just pushing through something no matter what, so this was very relatable!
