@zeezee25: if it gives you your life back, EMBRACE IT!!! 👏🏻 even if things look different or it wasn’t the reality you imagined, there are ways you can get back out in the world again 💗 my world was so small at the beginning of my chronic illness and I truly thought that I wouldn’t have a social life again, have independence, or get to travel 🥺 mobility aids don’t solve all problems and it’s definitely not a quick fix or a solution for everybody (please please check with medical professionals to see which mobility aids would actually benefit your body!!!) but for so many people, especially with energy limiting conditions or mobility restrictions… the decision to use a mobility aid can be life changing and it can bring so much freedom 🥹🌍 so if you’re debating it or feeling embarrassed, DO IT!!!! adapt so you can LIVE, and do it without apologising, because you deserve to take up space ❤️ #disabled #wheelchairuser #disabledcommunity #chronicillness #mobilityaid

Dear Zara, I know this isn’t really about your video, but I saw there weren’t many comments yet, and I thought I might have a better chance of you seeing this. I just wanted to tell you how much you’ve helped me. I’m 12 years old, and I think I have tics, but they’re still undiagnosed. It can be really confusing and lonely because I don’t always understand what’s happening, and my parents don’t really get what it feels like. I know they care about me, but it’s hard when the people around me don’t fully understand something I can’t control. Finding your videos changed so much for me. Seeing you talk openly about Tourette syndrome and share your experiences made me feel understood for the first time. Even though we’ve never met, it feels like you understand what it’s like to live with tics in a way that not many people do. Your videos have helped me feel less alone, given me hope, and reminded me that I don’t have to be ashamed of something I can’t control. On the hard days, your videos make me smile and remind me that I’m not the only one going through this. You’ve given me comfort, confidence, and the courage to keep being myself while I’m still trying to understand what’s happening. Thank you for being so honest, kind, and inspiring. Just by being yourself, you’ve helped a 12-year-old girl feel seen, understood, and a little less scared. I don’t think you’ll ever know how much of a difference you’ve made in my life, but I’m so grateful for you. Thank you for everything.

as someone who was previously too scared to use hers in school, absolutely use them! you should never compromise what you need and the support yoj need just because you're scared of what ppl might think. mobility aids have made school sm easier for me so I cannot stress this point enough! 💗

Your great grandad Joe refused to use a mobility scooter for shopping for years but when he eventually used one he loved it! I bet he'd have thought differently much earlier seeing you. ❤️

I’m prescribed a wheelchair for my fnd and pots but my father doesn’t believe me and thinks I’m just doing everything for attention and doesn’t let me use my wheelchair

A recent fear I’ve been having is that I don’t have a custom chair (I can’t afford it) so I modified (minimally and safely) a lightweight hospital chair. I’m worried people will think I’m faking or don’t need it because it wasn’t provided for me

I ordered my wheelchair today, arriving next week! Going on a walk with my friends. I havent been able to go out with them in 4 years due to being in denial about needing a mobility aid.
