@truth_carriers: Romans is the book they use to say you're not under the law. But Romans is the one book where Paul asks the question and gives the OPPOSITE answer. Romans 3:31. Do we make void the law through faith? Far from it. We ESTABLISH the law. "Not under the law" (6:14)? The very next verse: shall we sin because we're not under the law? Far from it. It means not under its PENALTY, not under its condemnation. The law is still the line. Paul: the law is holy, just, good, spiritual, my delight (Romans 7). The carnal mind is NOT subject to the law (8:7). "Messiah is the end of the law" (10:4)? End is telos, the GOAL. The Messiah is the target the whole law was aimed at, not its death. Romans 13: love is the fulfilling of the law. And Romans 14 is about a weak brother's fast days, not the seventh-day Sabbath. Romans doesn't free you from the commandments. It frees you from the condemnation, so you keep them in love.
