That’s ridiculous, if the rules are grabdfathered there should not be this split in rules. Makes no sense

I guess you can do the same for shares too right? if the apportionment formula works out cheaper then the share value on July 2027, I can use the cheaper method?

Hi Billy, love your content. Thank you. Could you please advise who can perform a valuation of my property? Can I ask a real estate agent or my bank? What's the next step after doing that valuation? Do I need to send it to the ATO? Will it benefit me if the valuation is lower in 2027 or higher? Thank you

If you sold your 15 year investment property, or shares even, in say the year 2030, can you still do a tax deductible super contribution (via notice of intent) and claim it against the pre 1st July 2027 capital gain portion once it is added to your assessable income in 2030??? I'm assuming that's how it would still work? 🤔

they need to divide the asset by the number of years held and apply that tax rate not fair to hold it for a long time , bundle that gain and apply that maximum rate in one year

Can it be a real-estate valuation or does it need to be other type?

By Jul 27 there will have been some losses so the year notice from Albo sucks for valuations when it comes time to getting it.

How the fuck does that work in divided reinvestment schemes where the price of the shares fluctuate and you pay more than what they are worth
