In my opinion the disc edition is more valuable due to being able to play ps4 and ps5 discs. With them planning to discontinue it’ll probably raise prices for physical disc’s already in distribution

by doing this, Sony is now going to directly compete with Steam, but why even buy a console if you cannot own physical media? They are playing themselves and hoping their brand image is enough to help them compete when eventually ppl are gonna realize steam has better deals on games and also won't revoke them from you without compensation, unlike Sony.
