@drsamanthaellis: One of my favorite hair health hacks: apply a hair oil before you swim. A thin layer of oil coats the hair shaft, which can help reduce how much chlorinated pool water your hair is exposed to. It’s not a perfect barrier, but it can help minimize the dryness and roughness that often comes with swimming. Here I’m using the @OGX Beauty Coconut Miracle Oil. I apply a generous amount throughout my hair and then typically throw it up into a bun. My hair is also noticeably softer and “slippier” when I get out of the water, so it’s much easier to detangle.
