1/144 scale was originally introduced when there were petroleum shortages for plastic. I could see Bandai prioritizing that scale for similar reasons today

honestly at least the HGs being made this year are straight peak, they haven't missed yet if we're not considering the increase of prices, can't wait for gqux hambrabi to drop here in EU and really excited for the HGAW kits ✌️

I mainly buy MG's because it's more detailed. The only 1/144 i buy are RG's that are non-gundam like eva and patlabor.

I live in Japan. Yeah display space is tough, but I don’t think this is the reason, I think price is the reason. The economy here is not good and people have less disposable income than before.

honestly I think it is multiple reasons like you said at the end, I have heard from people at Hasbro and Takara Tomy about the market changing but i don't know anyone who deals with Bandai
