@e.deadly: I often get asked what my favorite color is. Outside of the traditional black and tan, CHOCOLATE is definitely next. 😍🍫 You can never go wrong with a little chocolate drop in your life. 😅 Fun fact: Chocolate Yorkies aren’t a separate breed or a “designer” color. The chocolate coat comes from a naturally occurring recessive gene at the B locus (TYRP1). A puppy must inherit two copies of the recessive chocolate allele (bb) one from each parent, to express the chocolate phenotype. Dogs with BB or Bb won’t be chocolate, although Bb dogs are carriers and can pass the gene to their offspring. Genetics is predictable; when paired responsibly with health testing, chocolate Yorkies can be just as healthy and structurally sound as traditional-colored Yorkies. ##riverregionyorkies##yorkie##dogbreeder##puppy##fyp
